Taylor Swift made history at the 2016 Grammys when she became the first woman to win the “Album of the Year” award twice. While giving her acceptance speech, the 26-year-old pop star decided to address Kanye West – who just last week said in a song lyric that he believed he would have sex with her one day because he “made that b**ch famous.”
“As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice,” she said. “I want to say to all the young women out there: There will be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments, your fame.”
“If you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get to where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know it was you,” Swift continued.
“And that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
